Free Library
We first created a Github repository to bundle all of our free assets in one manageable folder. Easy to maintain, easy to update. Then we learned how to make it a module in Foundry VTT !
This module can work with any system available. It has DnD5e in its name only because the templates were originally based on the DnD5e ruleset and the actor compendium provided is DnD5e only.
If you are using another tabletop like Roll20 or Astral Tabletop, you can use any of our assets as tiles. Of course all of the instantaneous spells or attacks like firebolt or melee attacks will need macros to be used efficiently ! The zip file available for download from the latest release contains Webm files compatible with these VTTs inside the Library folder. The other files like the module.json, the packs and scripts folder are of no use to other Virtual Tabletops.

Patreon Library
Our Patreon pack contains a whole lot more color options, more weapons. Just way more choice in general.
When subscribing to one of our Patreon tier, you’ll get access to a pinned Master Post that contains a manifest link for FoundryVTT, a Zip file to use with other VTTs or that you can download as backup.

About the TMFX Folder
We originally created these assets to be used in conjunction with the Token Magic FX module.
It’s still the case although now that we can apply glows and tints via the Sequencer module, it is not restricted to TMFX but we’re kind of stuck with the name for the time being !
About compendiums
Actors
When you activate our module in FoundryVTT, you’ll have access to an Actor compendium with pre-prepared Dancing Lights, Flaming Spheres, Arcane Hands…etc You can import one and see if it fits your needs.
Note : These actors are only DnD5e compatible ! We’re looking to remove these feature from other systems as to not have issues but keep that in mind !
Macros
We also provide a macro compendium that you can import and play around with. You’ll need the Sequencer module for them to work. Feel free to ask us questions about these macros as it’s only a very short sample of what’s possible to achieve within FoundryVTT. We have a dedicated #macros channel on our Discord.

Side Projects
Map Animator
Epic ! Tier and above only
It is a Blender file that allows you to animate some features of your own map like adding a wave effect for your lake, a heat distortion effect for your desert or lava river. Or even play with some emissive texture/mask to add a subtle glow to your magical shrine, etc …
If you want to learn more about this software, we strongly recommend Andrew Price’s, a.k.a Blender Guru, Youtube Channel. He has many tutorials on pretty much all aspects of Blender, from 3D modeling to animation whilst learning how to create textures, adding lights. You can also draw animation in 2D or/and 3D. It really is a great open-source software that is continuously getting better, adding more features all the time. And it’s free !
Token Animator
Epic ! Tier and above only
The Token Animator is a Blender file provided with multiple image sequences and pngs. It is organized and set up to create you own animated token.
A complete guide is available, explaining in depth the workflow to follow. Even without having used Blender before, you will be able to understand how it works and create your own animated token.
More effects, images sequences and pngs will be added every now and then.
Feedback and suggestions are appreciated !
Music Puzzle
Available for free !
When creating the musical notes, Jules had an idea for a puzzle room where players would have to guess the right combination of notes to get out. So he did !
It’s in the form of a module and it uses assets from the Patreon pack.
Huge thanks to Ethck who worked on the integration of Sequencer, Tagger and Monk’s Active Tiles ! This module is now much easier to setup now !
Instructions are provided in the Github’s Readme.
- The first version of this module (for FoundryVTT V9) using Trigger Happy and FXMaster will still be available but not updated anymore, using this manifest link :
https://github.com/Jules-Bens-Aa/jb2a_puzzle/releases/download/0.0.7/module.json - The second version of this module (for FoundryVTT V9) using Sequencer, Tagger, and Monk's Active Tile Trigger is still available to download as a zip here: link
- The latest version of this module (for FoundryVTT V10)using Sequencer, Tagger, and Monk's Active Tile Trigger is available using this manifest link :
https://github.com/Jules-Bens-Aa/jb2a_puzzle/releases/latest/download/module.json
Please lock it within FoundryVTT once installed to avoid updating it if you're on one of the previous versions.

Webm
Our video files are exclusively encoded in the Webm format which includes a transparency capability with a great compression ! We encode our webms at 24 or 30 frames per second generally using VP8 as we’ve found some inconsistencies with VP9.
If you’re curious about this format you can read more on webmproject.org
Playback and Resolution
Some of our animations are meant to be an instantaneous/play only once effects. When they are meant to be played more than once, they will seamlessly loop.
For the resolution of our assets, we generally follow a simple rule of 5ft = 100px with exceptions.
For example, ranged, melee attacks and tokens will always follow the rule 5ft = 200px for better quality.
None of our assets are smaller than 200×200 pixels.
Also we might have to make compromises for very large spells that would be unreasonable size-wise and for performance-related issues.
About Ranged Attacks
We now have found a reasonable system for ranged attacks where Sequencer will be able to pick the right animation for different distances and stretch them with acceptable distortion.
The scaling being more noticeable at smaller distances, we went for an asset for each of those ranges :
5ft, 15ft, 30ft, 60ft, 90ft.
You can see the templates we base ourselves with in the links below.
